KS3 Maths (Years 7, 8, and 9)
We follow the exact National Curriculum taught in schools. We know the topic content inside and out. There is a lot of pressure in years 7,8 and 9 to work hard and achieve high marks. The schools are administering regular tests and changing the sets regularly, so students can get moved up and down sets. This has long term consequences.
We fill in gaps revealed in our assessments and simultaneously teach age relevant topics. This means our students are fully supported with their current school work. We regularly enable our students to move up sets at school.
Lower Secondary Maths has become a lot more challenging in recent years. The introduction of the new GCSE 1-9 exams means that A-Level content has now moved down to GCSE level. Therefore preparation for GCSE is vital.
GCSE Maths
We are experts at delivering the GCSE Maths curriculum. Year on year, our students get exceptional grades.
We cover all the exam boards- the main ones being AQA, Edexcel (Pearson) and OCR. We cater for iGCSE and Functional Skills too.
All of our teaching staff / heads of department are AQA examiners, so we are very focused on exam technique.
Maths Assessments
We have several ways of assessing Maths to suit different needs. We can do a full detailed GCSE assessment by grade and give predicted grades.
GCSE Content
For every GCSE grade (1-9) we have written our own topic list, which means we are strategic in what we teach. The students like having a topic list for each grade so, so they can see what is left to do and what has been taught.
We give our students notebooks and we teach them new topics from scratch. We write the topic content in their books and then they have a revision aid before their exams.
